  • Jerry "Buddy" Hicks, Chairman
    Jerry "Buddy" Hicks is a partner in a dairy/heifer operation with his brother. The cattle operation has approximately 500 dairy heifers and covers 500 acres in Smith County. Mr. Hicks has been a Farm Credit member for 36 years.

  • Bob Christophersen, Director
    Bob Christophersen resides in Bogata, Red River County. He was elected to the board in March 1988 and has been a Farm Credit member for 27 years. He operates on approximately 5,000 acres of owned and leased land and currently runs a yearling operation with sons Clay and Riley, consisting of approximately 2,00 head annually. Mr. Christophersen received a B.S. in agriculture from Panhandle State College in Goodwell, Oklahoma.

  • Mickey Crow, Director
    Mickey Crow lives in Brownsboro and currently operates a small herd of cattle in Henderson County. He has had knowledge of row crop production since he was very young helping his father farm and continues to garden for his family. He graduated from East Texas University with a degree in agricultural education. He worked ten years for the Texas Extension Service and retired from Trinity Valley Community College where he taught ranch management and set up the college ranch and managed it for fifteen years. Mr. Crow is a second-generation Farm Credit borrower.

  • James Dawley, Director
    James Dawley, a resident of Mexia, Texas, was born and raised on a farm/ranch at Honest Ridge, Texas in Limestone County. He currently runs an approximately 200-head cow/calf operation in Limestone County. Mr. Dawley holds both a bachelor's and master's degree in agriculture and vocational education from Sam Houston State University. He has been a Farm Credit borrower for 30 years.

  • David N. Hill, Director
    David Hill resides in Queen City. He is the owner/operator of Hill Timber Co. and is a Texas Forestry Association certified professional logger. Mr. Hill is also a rancher involved in hay and an approximately 350-head mother cattle operation on 650 acres of owned land and 1,000 acres of leased land. He is an active member of the Texas Logging Council and also does site prep replanting, land clearing and timber management. He was elected to the board in April 2000.

  • Bobby Hobson, Director
    Bobby Hobson, age 48, is a lifelong resident of Nacogdoches County. He is the owner/operator of a 12 house broiler farm with 270,000 bird capacity on 345 acres. He also owns a 75 head herd of registered beef cattle as well as operates a custom hay bailing business with his brother, Larry. Mr. Hobson took out his first loan with AgriLand in 1975 at the age of 16 years old. Mr. Hobson is Vice President of Douglass ISD School board and President of the Douglas Youth Baseball Association.

  • William R. "Bubba" Justiss, Director
    William "Bubba" Justiss is a native of Lamar County and has served on the board since he was elected in April 1981. Mr. Justiss' operation consists of approximately 400 acres of farmland and 900 acres of pasture and hay meadows, where he raises beef cattle, wheat and soybeans. He is active in various other agricultura organizations in Lamar County. He has been a Farm Credit member for 41 years.

  • Allan Layne, Director
    Allan Layne resides on a farm near Avery and DeKalb, Texas. He has served on the board since 1998 and has been a member of the Association for 20 years. Mr. Layne's operation consists of approximately 50 acres of land and a small cow/calf operation. He also actively buys and restores farm tractors as a part-time business.

  • Joe A. Presnall, Director
    Joe Presnall is lifelong resident of Chambers County, where he farmed rice and soybeans for 29 years. He has been a Farm Credit borrower since 1978. Mr. Presnall just recently started Presnall Construction Co., which specializes in site preparation. He graduated in 1976 from Sam Houston State University with a degree in industrial technology. Mr. Presnall currently serves on the Trinity Bay Soil & Water Conservation District board, Barbers Hill ISD school board, and is on the Cove City Council.

  • Ralph Preuss, Board-Appointed Director
    Ralph Preuss is a partner in the public accounting firm of Bawcum & Preuss in Sulphur Springs. In the March 2003 board meeting he was elected to serve as board-appointed outside director. Mr. Preuss is a certified public accountant and a member of the American Institute and Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants. He was elected in 2004 to serve on the board of directors of Hopkins County Memorial Hospital, and currently serves as secretary.

  • Wayne Ryser, Director
    Wayne Ryser lives northwest of Honey Grove in Fannin County. Mr. Ryser was elected to the board in 1987. He and his brother farm soybeans, wheat, milo and hay on approximately 2,500 acres in Fannin County and 55 acres of the Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) land.

  • Dennis H. Walker, Director
    Dennis Walker is president and owner of Walker and Associates Surveying, Inc. and Walker & Associates Surveying. He runs approximately 370 head of cattle on 880 acres of owned and leased land in Smith County. He owns a wholesale tree nursery in Smith County. Mr. Walker has been a Farm Credit borrower since 1972. He currently serves on the Texas Surveyors Board of Directors and the Tyler Junior College and University of Texas at Tyler Advisory Boards.
